I like to move it, move it....

damn that 90's music... forever stuck in my brain.

On Wednesday night, pk and I went apartment hunting. We phoned a whack of places, set up an appointment for a building in West Van. After work we went to see it only to find out that they don't allow pets. So we walked around the area a bit, checking out possible buildings but nothing that appeared to peak our interest. We got in the car and started to drive home when just down the street from our initial appointment we saw a building with a sign advertising a vacancy for both a 1 a 2 bedroom.

We called the manager from outside the building and he invited us in to check out the place. We decided to check out the one bedroom on the main floor as it was amazingly affordable and WAY less than what we're paying now. It's amazing how much people pay just to have a "view". For a one bedroom, the space is quite large and neither of us can see ourselves feeling cramped in it at all. Lovely walkout to a little garden. The building manager talked to us for over an hour.. maybe even two.. in all that time the apt was so quiet!

So yesterday we finalized everything and we're moving next wknd. I can't wait. So close to the water, the beach, more restaurants and shops (including the only yarn shop on the north shore - that could be dangerous).

So that's what's been happening here. I'll keep you updated as move progresses.
Yay! no more ghetto!
